Takao Temple and Blood

Although I did this last week, I am posting it now. Last week on Tuesday, which is now one of my days off, I went to a wildlife and plant reservation in Takao as I posted pictures of. However, afterwards I decided to explore Takao as well and go to a temple I have seen many times from the train station.

Here it is

There was also an inspiring statue at the top of a steep staircase

After looking at the statue I went for a hike in the woods. I hiked to the top of the hill in the area. It was very peaceful as it was a Tuesday and there was absolutely none else around. On the way down I decided to take some small path and tried to get lost, as many know is something I love to do. Halfway down, there seemed to be something in the path…

Upon a closer look it seems that someone’s entire porn collection was dumped and spread around. There was even more scattered around the area.

No, I did not start my own collection, but instead left everything where it was and continued on my way down a well unused path.

I eventually made my way back and found a really beautiful sakura tree to take a picture of.

What was even more interesting on the way back, especially for me, was that I witnessed a house being demolished. The pure destruction that the crane wreaked on the house was awe inspiring and I sat and watched for a good while.

Once I made my way back to the station I walked past a guy holding a red cross sign and was intrigued. I have been asked many times by my Japanese friends what my blood type is, and every time I reply that I don’t know. In Japan they use a persons blood type like we use zodiac signs. Therefore, for the first time ever, I decided to donate blood. I walked in to see a huge assortment of free snacks and sweets as well as tons of free drinks. Speaking little Japanese, I did my best to fill out all the forms. I took my share of sweets and went in to give blood. It was very interesting seeing my blood leave my body though a clear tube inserted into my arm. I tried to talk with the cute nurses as well since there is not much to do when giving blood. I gave 400ml of blood and was finished. Yet, when I sat up fully my face must have changed to a pure white color as the nurses took one look at me and told me to lie back down. After about 10 minutes I sat back up feeling pretty good, but when I stood up the world started to get black, and the nurses told me to lie back down again. The third time was fine. I got up, went into the lobby, filled up on free sweets and drinks, and left for home. The nurses and the doctors were really nice and although I suffered from a lack of blood to my brain for a short time I think I would like to do it again. Oh yes…

my blood type is: ‘B+’

  3. Did you know that blood type ‘B’ is undesirable ? …. don’t tell girls your type, they’ll think you’re fickle and violent, or something like that. I don’t really remember.
