What is it?
Like the title says… What is it? I have a friend that has this disgusting looking thing in the back of his throat that I have never seen before. To me, it actually seems to be getting bigger. My friend is also a poor man, and refuses to go to a doctor even after his girlfriend and I told him to do so. So, it would be nice if anyone could recognize what it could be and advise whether or not I should physically tie my friend up and take him to a doctor.

Man, he should go see a doctor for sure. My dad once had a growth that started under his tongue. Took them forever to get it out. Horrible stuff indeed.

Comment by Josh — 9/14/2004 @ 8:40 pmIt is possible that it might be some kind of lymph node cancer. They would normally swell and be somewhat stiff to touch. Also if he has some bad breath, or hurts to swallow, white, grey or greenish film on it, he definetly should get it checked out, those are all signs of lymphatic cancer. Hope everything goes ok, and miss you tons!
